Cairndow Community Childcare

Open to all - if you live in, work in or are just visiting the area they are there for you.

Anyone can use the centre for an hour, or a day or a week; regularly or ust for the odd day if you fancy some time off from the wee ones. Bookings are taken on a first come first served basis, plus minimum 24 hours notice.

They have 9 professional staff working at the centre who will make your children very welcome and look forward to seeing you.

Cairndow Community Childcare ......what next?

The centre opened in Cairndow in April 2005 and since then have looked after over 70 children ranging in ages from 3 months to 11 years and now employ 4 full time and 5 part time staff.

When the project first started the plan was always to start in the village hall, see how it worked there and then, providing it proved a useful asset to the area, move into their own building.

After a successful two years the time has come to start developing these plans and to do this they need feedback and help from all the communities they provide for, mainly Cairndow, Inveraray, Strachur, Arrochar and Lochgoilhead, as well as employees of local business who may live further afield, so they are in the process of creating a questionnaire to send out to local areas.

Cairndow Community Childcare is a registered charity and is run as a 'not for profit' organisation by a local volunteer management committee.
